The College actively encourages bridging the Industry-Academia divide by promoting student internships, Industry projects and faculty training.

Student Internships:
Departments like Communication Studies have compulsory internships of a minimum period of 4 weeks. The objective is to hone vocational skills, acquire professional experience and to explore career options before the student makes a final career choice.

Industry Projects:
Several NGOs and Corporate Institutions approach Mount Carmel College to take up a specific task. Projects like mailers, web-content, product literature, technical writing, data and research, etc are regularly taken up by students and faculty at Mount Carmel College.

Faculty Training:
The contact between the faculty of Mount Carmel and the Corporate world is a mutually beneficial one.

1. Experts from the Industry come as guest faculty and share their expertise with the students
2. Faculty members are regularly invited by the Corporate world to conduct training programmes

Mount Carmel in Brief
Bangalore Univeristy norms expects Under Graduate Students to study 3 core subjects over 6 semesters. In addition there are 2 compulsory subjects over 4 semesters - General English and II language under autonomous. Mount Carmel offers a wide range of choices for II language.
