Department of Physics

Physics is the study of matter, energy and their interactions.

Established in 1948, the Department of Physics aims at giving its students a basic foundation in the subject. A structured programme of guest lectures, projects, presentations, credit courses and extensive laboratory work enables exposure to key areas in Physics.

Physics is offered as one of the three majors in the following three combinations at the Undergraduate (UG) level:
PCM-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
PME-Physics, Mathematics, Electronics
PMC- Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science
