Home Science is a Para professional course and has no triple major. It is recognized under IGNOU study centre. There are six fields in Home Science:

Resource Management • Introduction to resource management • Financial management & Consumer management • Hospitality management and House keeping • Housing trends • Design décor & Finishes
Textile & Clothing • Basics of Textile Technology • Applied Textile Design and Finishes • Basics of Garment Technology • Indian Textiles, Costumes and Fashion • Apparel and Textile Merchandising
Extension Education & Community Development • Extension education & Developmental communications • Socio-economic analysis of communities for extension activities • Community development perspectives & Approaches • Project management theory • Training & applied technology in Extension activities • Research Methods & Documentation • Entrepreneurship development programme
Two optional subjects are: • Biochemistry • Guidance & counselling
Projects & Research: Home science Department has taken up community projects and conducted a UGC Human Rights course & National seminar. They have also collaborated with various organizations, especially NGO's. They have also have a "Earn Value Learned Scheme". Field trips are organised for exposure, interacting with industries entrepreneurship & opening venue for placements.
Internship & Inductions programmes in hotels & NGO's in Early Childhood Centre are actively encouraged. Nutrition & Dietetics
About the Course Nutrition and Dietetic is offered only in one combination: NDCZ- Nutrition and Dietetics, Chemistry and Zoology

Activities: In the past year the department had the first ever Nutrition and Dietetics fest- Nutriesta. The Department also had a seminar on sports nutrition. They had guest lecturers from the Food Industry, Community Nutrition Industry and from the Business Industry. For the practical exam their topic was food service management.
