Governing Body A registered society – Mount Carmel Educational Society – forms the Governing Body of the college and is the final authority on all matters relating to the college.

  • President – superior general
  • Vice president – provincial superior
  • Secretary cum treasurer – principal, mcc
  • Five other members from the congregation of carmelite sisters st. Terasa (csst)

Under Autonomy As per Statute of Bangalore University Autonomous College (23/08/2006), the following were constituted to oversee the academic activities of the college:

  • Governing Body
  • Academic Council
  • Board of Studies for each Department
  • Board of Examiners for each Department

Administration The college has 5 Deans for the smooth functioning of the college:

  • Dean of the faculty of Arts
  • Dean of the faculty of Science
  • Dean of the faculty of Commerce
  • Dean of the faculty of Home Science
  • Dean of the faculty of PG Studies

Bangalore Univeristy norms expects Under Graduate Students to study 3 core subjects over 6 semesters. In addition there are 2 compulsory subjects over 4 semesters - General English and II language under autonomous. Mount Carmel offers a wide range of choices for II language.
